Information We Process

Depending on how you use Muster, we may process your account details; text and meeting notes; audio recordings and transcripts; business-card images and extracted contact details; CRM contact and company information; AI-generated summaries, tags and suggested actions; device, security and usage information; and support communications.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to provide and secure Muster, store and organize notes, transcribe audio, scan and extract information from business cards, generate AI-assisted summaries, sync information with connected CRMs, troubleshoot the service, provide support and comply with legal obligations.

GDPR Legal Bases

Contract — to provide the service you request. Legitimate interests — for security, fraud prevention and service reliability. Consent — where required by law. Legal obligation — where processing is necessary to meet applicable legal requirements.

Other People, Recordings & Business Cards

Muster may contain personal information about people who do not have a Muster account. If you scan a business card, record a meeting, add a contact or sync information to a CRM, you or your organization are responsible for having an appropriate lawful basis. You must inform participants and obtain any consent required by applicable recording or privacy laws.

AI, Service Providers & Sharing

Muster may use third-party providers for hosting, AI, transcription, OCR, authentication, analytics, security and customer support. Where providers process personal data on our behalf, we require appropriate contractual and confidentiality protections. We may also share information with a CRM or other service when you instruct Muster to connect to it. We do not sell your private notes, recordings, transcripts or CRM content.

International Transfers, Retention & Security

Where GDPR applies and personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we use an appropriate transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful safeguard. We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Muster, meet legal obligations and maintain security. User content is generally retained until you delete it or close your account, subject to limited backup and legal-retention requirements. We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls and encryption where appropriate.

Your GDPR Rights

Where GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; receive certain data in a portable format; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority.
